Road safety calendar awards

On 24 January Project Centre and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea celebrated the tenth anniversary of their partnership in producing a road safety and school travel calendar. The 2012 edition features pictures from 46 children from over 30 schools in the borough, the winners were selected from an entry of over 1800 pictures.
Mark Raisbeck joined the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea Councillor Julie Mills and Councillor Mrs Frances Taylor, the Chair of Public Transport and Road Safety at Kensington Town Hall to meet the winners and award them the certificates and book tokens provided by Project Centre.
All schools in the borough receive copies of the calendar, which serves as a yearlong reminder of the importance of road safety and sustainable travel to schools.
