NSL, the public sector services specialist, has been re-appointed by Manchester City Council (MCC) to provide parking services throughout the city. The contract is for two years with an option to extend for three years.
It is the third time MCC has chosen to re-appoint NSL, who initially took over the provision of parking services in 2003, and was appointed in 2004 and again in 2009.
The news comes following the recent appointment of NSL to undertake environmental enforcement, in partnership with other agencies in the city, in a sustained effort to tidy up and maintain cleaner, more pleasant streets for all.
Graham Williams, NSL Commercial Director, said: “The success of our relationship with MCC, apart from being parking service experts, rests on our deep understanding and respect for Manchester and its long-held status as a great and dynamic city; a truly smart city that always seeks to lead than follow.”
MCC’s key vision is to pioneer a new model for sustainable economic growth based on a more connected, talented, and greener city region. Manchester became the UK’s first low-carbon hub, and will invest £1.5billion in its transportation infrastructure.
