NSL yesterday attended the official launch of consumer parking information service Know Your Parking Rights at the House of Commons.
The service was created by the British Parking Association (BPA), of which NSL is a member, in response to research showing that nearly 24.7 million motorists in the UK believe that parking rules and regulations are confusing.
The event, which was held on behalf of the BPA, was sponsored by Richard Burden MP – Shadow Roads Minister, and was attended with speeches given by Robert Goodwill, Under-Secretary of State for Transport, and Penny Mourdant, Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
The Know Your Parking Rights service is aimed at motorists who want to understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to parking, and can be accessed online www.knowyourparkingrights.org, where a consumer guide can also be downloaded for ease of reference.
