NSL appointed to deliver ‘assistance parking’ approach for Westminster

NSL, the public-sector services provider, has been appointed by Westminster City Council (WCC) to deliver two new four-year contracts that herald a pioneering shift in parking management. The services will be delivered by combining the best of technology and people; technological innovation alongside assistive street marshals.

Managing both People & Resources, which starts in July, and Business Processing & Technology, which starts in November, the new contracts will usher in parking management that will make it fairer, easier, and safer for all who live, work, and visit Westminster.

NSL has provided Westminster’s parking services since 2003.

Leith Penny, Westminster City Council’s Strategic Director of City Management, says: ”Every day, we face the massive task of keeping traffic moving on some of the busiest roads in Britain – while balancing the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors. These two contracts represent a tailor-made, end-to-end solution for Westminster’s needs. Furthermore, the new technology underpinning the contracts will not only make it easier to find available parking spaces now, it will enable Westminster to constantly review parking demand and provision in years to come.”
