NSL opens new processing centre
NSL has opened a new shared service centre to enhance its service processing Penalty Charge Notices.
The new centre, based in Oldham, provides the full back office PCN processing service to NSL’s clients.
It can also deliver significant savings by using shared resources within the centre.
BPO Director Dale Wood explained : “By creating a shared service centre which can work for a number of clients, we have much greater flexibility and scalability.
“That means we can handle peaks and troughs in correspondence and phone calls much more effectively, while ensuring that the quality of the service delivered to the client and the public never dips.”
Dale said that NSL’s offer means they can generate a minimum of 30% savings on the costs of PCN processing, compared to the in house equivalent, reducing the cost per PCN without any dip in quality.
“In fact, I am confident that we can improve the quality of the service in most cases. Local authorities need to save money but they are anxious about preserving the quality of frontline services.
“Outsourcing to our shared service centre achieves both those objectives.”
The new centre will be based at the Falcon Business Centre, Victoria Street, Chadderton, Oldham.
