Enfield appoints NSL for new ten-year deal

NSL has retained its parking contract with the London Borough of Enfield, with a new deal going live in July for up to ten years.

The new contract will include the appointment of a new technology supplier to provide the most up to date equipment, including new handheld computers and processing software for Civil Enforcement Officers.

The London Borough of Enfield has been an NSL client since 2004, and has appointed us for a new, wide-ranging contract which involves on street enforcement, off street parking management, IT supply, back office processing, vehicle removals and the associated pound service.

In the past year NSL has also retained contracts with London Borough of Camden, LB Waltham Forest, Lancashire and Manchester - while winning new contracts with LB Bexley, LB Ealing, LB Tower Hamlets and Cambridgeshire.

Commercial director Graham Williams commented: “NSL prides itself on the quality of the service we offer clients, and we are delighted that Enfield has recognised that with this new contract. It can be harder to retain contracts than win new ones, because you are judged on the quality of the service you offer day in day out, over a period of years, as well as the quality of your bid. Retentions such as this demonstrate not only that we can offer very cost effective tenders, but also that we deliver on our promises.” He added that the contract was subject to very competitive bidding from other potential suppliers, but that NSL have been advised as part of the tender feedback process that we scored highly in the quality of our submission - the bids being scored by Enfield with input from independent parking consultants.

"That is a rigorous scoring system which means the public in Enfield are getting the very best service available. We will now be working hard to ensure that we deliver.”

The contract, with an estimated total value of £24 million, is for an initial period of 6 years with opportunities to extend to ten.
