Next Generation Bodycams on show at Parkex

NSL, who have pioneered the use of body worn cameras within on street parking enforcement, are showcasing the next generation equipment as part of its Sentinel system at Parkex this year on the 2nd and 3rd of March.

The fully integrated system from NSL provides on street parking enforcers with tamper proof, court standard evidence.

The body mounted portable video device gives an audio and visual record of enforcement activities, robustly tested and evolved by NSL over the last three years. The showcase at Parkex demonstrates the third generation of the camera.

The new device incorporates both the camera and recording equipment into one piece that is no larger than a name badge. Lighter, smaller and more robust than earlier versions, this new piece of kit certainly lasts the distance. It eliminates the need for connecting wires and simplifies deployment. Andrew Bradley, NSL's project leader on Sentinel commented

“As a complete solution the device provides secure encrypted data to industry leading standards, making Sentinel highly effective in gathering evidence against street crime, improving public safety and reassuring the public.

We continue to look evolve and improve the system and this next generation unit was the result of direct feedback from the field.”

Local authorities have been using Sentinel technology since 2007, with up to a 33% reduction in assaults on staff and leading to successful prosecutions. Recently Bolton became the first local authority in the country to equip all of its CEO's with body mounted cameras.

Next generation Sentinel can be seen at NSL's stand B10 at Parkex.
