NSL has retained the prestigious Manchester City Council parking enforcement contract - the first contract our company has retained twice.

We first retained the contract after a tender process in Spring 2006 - having been brought in a year earlier under emergency powers.
Now after the latest tender process, MCC has reappointed us to a contract which went live in early April.

Regional manager Trevor Taylor commented: “Manchester City Council's parking is a very high profile operation - and is nationally recognised for innovation - so competition tends to be pretty robust during the tender process.

The new contract is for three years with an option to extend for a further
two years. Contract manager Andy White commented: “It is extremely exciting and challenging working for a client like MCC - I am delighted they have chosen us for the new contract."

Over the past few years, Manchester City Council has been at the forefront of innovation in parking services, including being the first UK authority to stop clamping, introducing new customer-friendly operating procedures, and pioneering new ways of reducing Blue Badge fraud.

In addition, it has pioneered new ways of broadening the on street service, moving in to the issue of Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental offences such as leaflet distributors dropping litter, and vehicles left with engines idling.
