NCP Services shortlisted in six national award categories

NCP SERVICES' quality and innovation has been recognised in the prestigious British Parking Awards, where we have been shortlisted in six categories.

NCP Services prides itself on leading the industry in delivering innovation and continuous improvement - and the shortlisted entries in the awards reflect this.

Our Sentinel system for body worn cameras has been shortlisted for the Joined Up Thinking:Innovation award, and under the Joined Up Thinking: Operations we are shortlisted for two of our groundbreaking initiatives a - legal support scheme for Civil Enforcement Officers and our sophisticated psychometric testing system for recruitment of CEOs.

The Sentinel System is the only body worn camera product which is supplied with a bespoke back office support system and data handling protocols compiled to Information Commissioner standards.

Since we became the first parking enforcement company to introduce it - in Salford - assaults on our CEOs dropped by 30 per cent.

Our other innovations have delivered similar results - with psychometric testing - ensuring we get the right people for the difficult and challenging job of parking enforcement, reducing our staff turnover dramatically. And the new free legal support system for CEOs has also resulted in better staff retention.

Meanwhile, our company newspaper, Streetlife, has been shortlisted in the marketing award (its second nomination in six months, having been shortlisted for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations award), and in the same category we have been shortlisted with our clients Worthing Borough Council for a campaign to help disabled Blue Badge holders understand the rules and regulations of badge use.

Finally, our consultancy the Project Centre has been shortlisted in the Living Streets award - along with client London Borough of Southwark - for their radical redesign of London's Walworth Road.

Director of Communications Tim Cowen commented: “We are always looking to improve the range and quality of our services.

“The fact that so many of our initiatives have won industry recognition in this way is a testament to the hard work we have put into delivering these innovations.”
