NSL has been retained by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for another three years.

The company has been operating a parking contract for the Royal Borough since 2006 and has now been given the maximum extension under its contract.

NSL regional manager Emma Collins commented: “We are thrilled that RBKC have taken this decision - we have worked very hard to deliver a first-class service to them and this extension means we can continue to do that.”

RBKC is the most densely populated borough in Britain, and also has one of the highest number of visitors in the country, due to world famous tourist attractions such as Kensington Palace and national museums such as the Natural History Museum.

That means its streets have unique traffic pressures which require a very sophisticated approach to parking management.

“It is vital to work in partnership with your client to ensure that you deliver the broader public service aspect of your role,” commented Emma. “With those unique pressure we need to make sure that residents can park, that we can help tourists find their destination, that we promptly and efficiently report defects in the street furniture and that we help to reduce street crime and anti-social behaviour.

“We will be focussing on ways to further broaden our service in these areas over the next three years.”
