NSL has been included in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 list of Britain's biggest mid-market private companies.
The list, which includes household names such as Odeon cinemas and Harrods, was published last week.
The listing is based on sales or revenue in their latest available audited accounts. NSL is listed with revenue from our 2008 accounts of £156.6 million.
Chief Executive Mark Underwood commented: “Our growth has been helped in a difficult economic climate by a terrific group of people. At all levels of the business I am impressed by the dedication and professionalism our people show when they deliver services to our clients.”
In 2008 the company's growth was underpinned by contract wins in all of the largest parking management contracts which were tendered - in Birmingham, Oxfordshire, Lambeth, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
And in 2009 the company has started work on what has been described as “the largest parking operation in the world” - the two-year rollout of parking management across Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, the company's other transport related services continue to expand, including Business Process Outsourcing, which will begin working on the London Road User Charging operation with IBM on behalf of Transport for London in November.
NSL Chief Financial officer Steve Dolton commented: “It is a testament to the hard work of all our colleagues that NSL has been listed. In the past two years a lot of companies have struggled because of the global fiscal crisis. A number of famous names have dropped out of the Top track 250 during this period so we are very pleased that we have made the listing.”
NSL was established in March 2007 following the demerger of National Car Parks when the off street car parks business was sold. NSL was at that time established as a standalone services business providing outsourced transport and related services, largely to the public sector.
In addition to on street parking management, which it delivers for more than 50 local authorities, NSL delivers services including passenger transport, consultancy services, business process outsourcing and debt recovery.
