Gordon Walker has been appointed Head of Parking at Project Centre, NCP Services' consultancy business. Gordon heads one of the most experienced and well respected parking design teams in the country with 17 staff including nine engineers and four traffic order makers as well as its own dedicated parking communications officer.
 
The parking team at Project Centre has doubled its staff since Mark Bland was appointed Parking Director in June 2007 and has an enviable list of clients across the country.
 
'It's an exciting time with the new Traffic Management Act keeping us very busy' said Gordon. 'Project Centre has people working alongside council staff in their offices who can always call on the experience and expertise of our team here. This offers a very flexible solution for the client and keeps costs down.'
 
The size of his new team is not an issue for Gordon who previously managed 130 staff as an On-Street Operations Manager for ACPOA before moving to Wandsworth Borough Council where he worked in the team that rolled out CPZs.
 
Project Centre has a specialist Traffic Order team headed by Duncan Fraser who are helping local authorities prepare for the Traffic Management Act by checking their orders and making sure that they are compliant.
