Our Environmental Enforcement Officers (EEOs) certainly proved their worth in Hillingdon recently, earning them praise from the local police. On 12 November the community was enjoying a public event when a fight broke out between two men on Uxbridge High Street. One of the two men sustained what appeared to be serious injuries. The NSL EEOs witnessed the fight, with two of them thinking quickly and turning on their body-cams to capture the incident. The third EEO contacted the police and kept the Police Operator updated whilst colleagues placed themselves between the two fighting men, trying to calm the situation down and make the scene safer for other members of the community.
In addition to the praise on this police/local authority partnership success story, NSL CEO Mark Underwood said: “The quick and confident response from our colleagues in Hillingdon turned a difficult situation from becoming much worse and demonstrates their high levels of professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile, forming an effective partnership to the benefit of the public present at this community event.”
Bobby Kang talks about the benefits of the EEO service.
